Eligibility for maternity support:

  • A woman who participated in prenatal care at least four times during her pregnancy, or at least once in the case of premature birth;
  • The adoptive parent, if the adoption has been authorized by a final decision and the child has been continuously raised in their household for no more than one year before the final authorization;
  • The guardian, if the child is placed in their care within 6 months of birth by a final decision.

The amount of maternity support is 64,125 forints, and 85,500 forints per child in the case of twins.
